Sir Adam Beck Online Learning Resources

Your child's teacher will be making contact with you about at some point this week (March 30 - April 3). As a staff we have decided to use Google Classroom as our onlne platform for delivering classroom program in a virtual environment.

Thank you for your patience and support! Together we will do the best we can to make this less than optimal teaching and learning context work! Be aware that many of us will be learning new skills and we also appreciate that you will have a unique situation at home!

Please note the following:

  • The Chrome browser is the easiest browser to use with the resources listed below, and the students are most familiar with Chrome's features.
  • Google Classroom Access: Your son/daughter will have to login to AW in order to access Google Classroom. They will use the same credentials to login to AW as they do to login to the school computers. (See video below) Once they've entered AW they can navigate to their Google Classroom via the Google Apps menu item at the top of the page.

Parent Resources

Parents can access the following website that will explain how to install Read and Write Gold on various devices.

Read&Write lets everyone read, write and express themselves more confidently and independently.

Our easy-to-use toolbar makes documents, files and web pages more accessible. Read&Write is a big confidence booster for anyone who needs a little support with their reading and writing, at school or in the workplace. And its friendly literacy features help English Language Learners, as well as people with learning difficulties or requiring dyslexia tools.
